We’ve been debating all week what to do.
Manuscripts. Plot lines. Short story collections. Web stories. E-books. Print editions. We talked, conversed and argued about all of these over coffee, tea and some great chocolate chip cookies. Decisions needed to be made. It was an intense process.
We realised what we really wanted was to have all the wonderful stories we received (and keep on receiving) together in one book, a collection of summer so to speak. And not just one…
Which is why Short Summer Shorts is now open as a category here at culver & venice. Our Short Summer Shorts will be a collection of summer short stories which will hit the (digital) shelves in due season (2016).
The guidelines are still the same (short stories of maximum 2500 words), except that now the subject is Summer in all its shapes and forms. There is no deadline, so if you write up a short summer short on a freezing February morning, for example, and you’d love to be part of culver & venice’s summer collection, don’t hesitate to contact us!
Have a great weekend and a fantastic Longest Day of the Year.
Your culver & venice Team
